Good Shepherd's goal is to develop and encourage a broad, meaningful, and balanced ministry of education for our youth.
We provide opportunities for our young people to participate in Sunday School, outside activities, and activities related to worship. Feel free to invite your friends! Contact us with any questions, concerns, or great ideas.
Sunday School is in between services at 10:00am. We start with music in the sanctuary and then head downstairs to our respective classrooms.
At Sunday School, we begin with singing (dancing optional!) and worship, then break into smaller groups for stories from the bible, arts & crafts, and a snack.
Sunday school classes are broken down into the following age groups:
Preschool - Kindergarten
First - Second Grades
Third - Fourth Grades
Fifth - Sixth Grades
Confirmation has resumed! It is every Tuesday at 5:30pm. Please contact the office if you have a 7th or 8th grader that is interested in participating.
The High School Youth Group meets each Thursday at 6:00 p.m. during the school year in the high school youth room.
Our high schoolers are inspired to become active participants in their faith, church and the surrounding community. At Good Shepherd, high schoolers are encouraged to live out and explore their faith, as well as find ways to build community. Meetings can include bible studies, service projects, playing games, or just spending time together.
If you have a student in this age group or if you would like to volunteer with our high schoolers, please give us a call us at (907) 376-3522 for more information.
