Meet Pastor Joseph

Pastor Joseph graduated from Wartburg Theological Seminary in May of 2023 with his Master of Divinity. Prior to seminary, Pastor Joseph studied music and religion at Luther College and spent his summers working at Upper Missouri Ministry Bible Camp in Epping, ND where he met his wife Paige. Together they have two cats named Simon and River and a dog name Luz.

Pastor Joseph is passionate about living into the full expression of who God calls us to be as people of God and as a community of God. He comes from a diverse religious background and has a history of Ecumenical work. He is excited to continue his ministry in Wasilla, Alaska after recently moving from Bethany Lutheran Church in Wisconsin.

In his free time he enjoys playing tennis, board games, cooking, and spending time with his wife and animals.

Get to Know Our Youth Director, Paige

Paige Doegen is the new Youth Director here at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church! She has been taking classes at Wartburg Theological Seminary to become a Minister of Word and Service; otherwise known as a Deacon! Prior to seminary Paige studied Physical Education and spent many summers at Springbrook Bible camp in North Dakota. She and Pastor Joseph have been married for almost four years, have three crazy animals, and a little boy named Bennett.

She enjoys spending time with her family, playing board/card games, and being outside doing fun activities. Paige is excited to work with all of the youth through music, Sunday school, youth group and many fun events here in Wasilla!

Meet Our Office Administrator Tracy

If you stop by Good Shepherd, you’ll likely be greeted by Tracy and a fresh pot of coffee! Our friendly Office Administrator enjoys getting to know everyone who walks through the doors. When she’s not at church, she’s out fishing, hiking, rooting for the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with her golden retriever, Pretzel. Go Pack Go!
